New Samson Stage Monitors

The sanctuary now has two new stage monitors - Samson wedges. They will enable us to spread the monitor mix around so that singers and musicians can hear the monitor mix better. To do this a small change in the way things are set up has been made. This article is to let you know what's been done.

Previously we had labeled the monitor speakers themselves, but since the idea behind this addition is improved flexibility that idea no longer works very well. So instead we have labeled the monitor cables.

The cables coming from the stage amps to the speakers have been labeled "A" FEED and "B" FEED. These cables carry the powered signal from the amps.

Two additonal cables have been labeled "A" PATCH and "B" PATCH. These cables are to be used to daisy-chain the monitors together. just mnake sure that the "A" PATCH cable is used to daisy-chain the "A" FEED ONLY! Ditto the "B" PATCH only use it to daisy-chain the "B" FEED.

Also please note that both the Samson and Behringer monitors have labeled "Input" and "Output" or "Extention" sockets. Making sure you use the right ones will prevent damage to the speakers.

So simply put, the label on the cable identifies which monitor feed you're listening to. Set the monitors up any way you like just make
sure you use the right cables so the mixes can be properly identified.
